We are proud to announce the certification of the Shadin ADC6000 airdata system.
With this approval, the DRVSM STC for installation in your Cessna Citation aircraft is immanent. We are currently scheduling installations for both terrain avoidance (TAWS) and Shadin ADC6000 for your citation aircraft. |

Chelton Flight Systems has developed a state-of-the-art
EFIS with situational awareness never before seen in any flight deck.
Introducing The FlightLogic Synthetic Vision EFIS- and its ready for
integration in your panel!
The panel mount unit displays all your primary flight instruments
as well as GPS WAAS navigation, terrain, weather, traffic and so much
more.
With terrain depicted around you in a "look ahead" view,
the display provides you with incredible situational awareness, increasing
the overall safety for you and your passengers. |

Features:
· A virtual 3-D skyway "tunnel" for enroute and instrument
procedures
· Highway-in-the-Sky presentation
· Heads Up Display (HUD) technology
· Full aircraft interface to existing aircraft components
Approval:
Fully TSOed, FlightLogic received certification in March 2003 and
is now certified in over 600 aircraft. As well, the terrain display
is capable of being certified for Class B TAWS, without any expensive
upgrades. |

Best of all, Chelton has approved Modern
Avionics as a Certified sales and Integration center for the FlightLogic
EFIS. As a matter of fact, Chelton had enough confidence in us that
we were asked to install a 3-display system in their newest factory
demonstrator, a PA46 Malibu-Mirage JetProp.
Knowing that pushing the buttons and scrolling the knobs is the best
way to see a unit work, we have demonstration units available for
your convenience. Call to schedule a demo! Better yet, let us know
when you're ready for the ground demo and we'll coordinate the ride
in the PA46 demo aircraft.
Seeing is believing- especially when it keeps you out of harms way,
IFR or VFR! |

You're greatest concerns for you and
your passengers-terrain, traffic, weather-are now solved with the
new Synthetic Vision EFIS from Chelton! |

RVSM
IS HERE - MODERN AVIONICS IS READY FOR CESSNA CITATION OPERATORS
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Domestic Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum
(DRVSM) is soon to be a requirement for virtually all jet operators
and some turboprop operators in the continental United States. By
January 20, 2005 all operations from FL290 to FL410 shall be separated
by 1000 feet vertically, rather than the current 2000 feet. The regulation
change will obviously require equipment calibration requirements as
well as operational changes and certification. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Until now, there had been very limited options for
satisfying this upcoming requirement. Modern Avionics has been active
in the flight test and certification program for the Cessna Citation
500 series aircraft, spear-headed by AeroMech, Inc., the most widely
known expert in RVSM aircraft certification. The flight-testing has
involved collecting data and preparing the aircraft for the eventual
approval. The airframe certification is expected in Spring 2004. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
Those Citations with the Honeywell SPZ500
autopilot/flight director systems are expected to qualify for the
proposed Digital AirData Computer (DADC) manufactured by The Shadin
Co. of Minneapolis. As you know, The Shadin Company is famous for
their AirData systems and fuel flow computers found in most all general
and business aircraft today. The expected certification is also slated
for Spring 2004. |

Enhanced
Ground
Proximity Warning Systems (EGPWS) are
soon to be a requirement for either Part 91 or Part 135 operations.
By March 29, 2005, all U.S. registered turbine powered aircraft
with 6 or more passenger seats will be required to comply with the
TAWS mandate. In
addition, Part 135 and Part 121 operators with 10 or

passenger seats will be required to have a terrain display. Controlled
Flight Into Terrain (CFIT) will be greatly reduced with the addition
of the look-ahead technology of the newest EGPWS. Along with aural
alerts and |

annunciators,
the interface to a Multi-Function Display (MFD) provides a graphical
look at the terrain in your flight path and clearly idenifies the
dangers ahead at, above or below your current altitude. Comfort and
security are reinforced for you and your passengers as a result of
EGPWS. For more information on the benefits of EGPWS or to obtain
a proposal for integration, please call or email. |

Displays are occupying more panel space these days than ever thought
was possible. Where did all that panel space come from? Well, the
best chance at finding the room for one in your panel is if you have
an on-board weather radar system. |
|
| MFD's
can take the place of your weather radar display in most cases and
continue to allow your radar system to function normally. In addition,
the system can display your GPS map in graphic format, Stormscope
data, Collision (TCAS/TAS) and Terrain (EGPWS) Avoidance information.
Lastly, approach charting software is now depicted on the screen with
your flight path superimposed over the chart for accurate visual positioning.
Soon, weather uplink will be available to the cockpit. Demonstration
units are available in our front lobby. Come in and see what your
missing! |
